PDF 35 MB Minutes: The Chief Executive submitted a report which outlined the final recommendations from the Local Returning Officer which related to the Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places. It was noted that the proposals within the report had been shaped by representations made after the May 2015 election. Following approval from the GP Committee on the 6^th October 2015 for there to be a consultation, the feedback gained had been included and in the report and where appropriate to the original proposals. The Chief Executive updated the Committee on items highlighted in the report as amended from the draft recommendations or under consideration between the publication of the report and this meeting. On the matter of the Polling Place at Barry Road, this is now recommended to be specified as Barry Road Primary School due to access issue identified in relation to the Gym Annexe. On the matter of the designation of Lyncrest Primary School as Polling Place, this was confirmed as the recommendation following discussion between the Returning Officer and the Head Teacher on site on the 16^th November. The Chief Executive explained that the recommendations be reported to Council on the 14^th December 2015. RESOLVED: 1. That the final representations of the Local Returning Officer be approved. 2. That the amendments to be included in the register due to be published on 1^st Dec 2015 be approved 3. That Council be updated on the report at the meeting to be held on the 14th December 21015
