INSTALLATION OF HONORARY ALDERMAN

Whereas the Council of the Borough of Northampton at a meeting convened at the Guildhall Northampton on 19^th September 2016, in respect of a proposal to such effect

HAVE RESOLVED

that the work of former Councillors with twelve years of service or more is celebrated and the gratitude of the citizens of Northampton is extended by conferring Honorary Alderman status on such recipients, and

LEE MASON

having fulfilled that criteria

NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL

in recognition of the same and eminent service rendered to the Borough and the distinguished part played in the deliberations of the Borough Council by Lee Mason as a member thereof from 1995 to 2015

and in appreciation of her deep and unsparing devotion to the public life of the Town

DO HEREBY ADMIT

the said

LEE MASON

to be an Honorary Alderman of the Borough

The Mayor referred to the motion set out on the agenda paper that had been agreed by Council at its meeting on the 19^th September 2016 to confer the title of Honorary Alderman to former Councillor Lee Mason

The Mayor then invited Councillors M Markham and Marriott endorse the motion.

RESOLVED:  

That in accordance with Section 249 of the Local Government Act 1972 former Councillor Lee Mason.be awarded the title of Honorary Alderman of the Borough of Northampton
